Manifold cores for truck and big engines, either intake or exhaust, are very difficult to make. Manifold cores have to be in hollow, which is critical for casting. Because, Hollow cores can reduce sand consumption and casting porosity. Kao Kuen has specially designed this core shooting machine KKB 600 x 1200 for this purpose.
Core shooting machine KKB 600x 1200 can take core box size of 550 x 1100, and make core in size of 500 x 1000 mm. Standard core shooting machine is too small to make this job. This core shooting machine has special feature to rotate core box in 180°, and shake and drain excessive resin sand out of core box before it is hardened by heat. This operation procedure and time can be programmed by electrical control system.
